Our client is Multinational Oil & Gas Company from American, currently they are looking for:
PIPING DESIGNER
Organizational Purpose
Assist Piping Lead Engineer and supervise Contractor in Piping Design and Layout activity. He must understand project design requirement before the commencement of assigned work. Where He found any conflicting and ambiguous, he shall discuss them with Lead engineer and project team, for resolution.
Key Responsibilities
• Review piping document, specification and procedure as per project requirement
• Review Plot plan and equipment layout considering economy, convenience, safety, work space around equipment and case of operating using equipment.
• Review Piping key plan drawing
• Review basic design sketch of critical line, such as: Oil Tank, LPG Sphere, tower, vessel, extreme hot/cold piping, compressor, pump, Blow down, Flare, reformer/boiler line, underground line, Loading/Unloading line, etc.
• Review detail design layout to satisfy process requirement from basic sketches and determine best method of illustration.
• Review piping information drawings for the basic design to other discipline, such as pipe rack configuration, nozzle orientation, Equipment lug or clip support, etc.
• Review and check issue every piping design document and drawing
• Review drawing for quality, accuracy and compliance with project
requirement
• Review application of specialty items such as: PSV, Orifice, Control Valve, Silencer, Flame arrestor, etc
• Review Vendor Document drawing and evaluation quotation and issue piping comment
• Review 3D Model
• Review Loading data manual and Procedure
• Review Loading data calculation result
• Review Standard Pipe Support that suit with Project spec
• Review application of standard pipe support on model
• Review application of pipe support as per stress requirement
• Review Special pipe support, if any
• Review MTO pipe support
• Review BQ material pipe support
• MTO Checking
• Check Isometric drawings and MTO content
• Giving advice to each contractor piping staff in studying.
• Evaluate some basic design from other project, and apply the best solution in this project.
Key Competencies
• Familiarize with international Codes and Standard such as: ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, AWWA, MSS, ISA, NEMA, AWS, NFPA, JIS, DIN, etc.
• Familiarity to use and review 3D model work.
• Familiarity and ability to use AutoCad.
• Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good communicator in the English Language.
• Team Player.
• Ability to prepare input into weekly and monthly progress reports to Lead Engineer.
• Ability to integrate with the Contractor personnel and encourage performance by example.
