My client is reputable MNC Oil and Gas industry is seeking high caliber candidates to fill vacancies for the following positions:

Roles & Responsibilities:


My client has a portfolio of projects active or in planning presently. One of these is SAP Deployment to Oil and Gas business in Indonesia (Orchid Wave 2 Project (OW2)). The successful candidate will take responsibility as the OW2 PMO analyst reporting to the Project Management Office (PMO) Lead, and will be a key member of the PMO and align closely with OW2 project delivery team.

Key responsibilities include:

· Working with the PMO Lead and Project Manager to develop a robust and accurate project plan with baselined tasks for each project, against which delivery activity and resource consumption can be tracked. This may include the consolidation of lower level plans where necessary.

· Production of detailed, accurate and value-added analysis of project status, to ensure that the Project Manager and other key stakeholders have up-to-date fact-based information on which to base project decisions.

· Identification and capture of dependencies between the various project streams in the OW2 project. Development and maintenance of a project dependency register.

· Application of the BP GFI project planning standards and schedule change management procedure.

· Provides the Project Manager with necessary templates and examples of expected project deliverables and assists in identifying mandatory activities to progress through stage gate decision points. Facilitates discussions for entrance and exit criteria for project phases.

· Liaison with key project personnel to capture latest delivery status and future delivery projections.

· Ensure the timely and accurate update of the plan, including the tracking of task and deliverable completion and the identification and reporting of slippage as and when it occurs.

· Manages project schedule and status throughout the duration of the project, including status preparation, tracking and reporting; identification of critical path issues, and schedule changes resulting from Change Requests;

· Assists Project Manager and Stream leads to mitigate project Risks, and resolve Issues and Change Requests.

· Prepares and reports on schedule and effort variance linked to the schedule and resource plan along with other progress tracking metrics.

· Timely and accurate reporting of milestone and delivery status to the Project Manager and other key stakeholders as required.

· Works with the Project Controller to prepare project costs reports, including 'burn rate' metrics and forecast spends.

· Ownership of the project issues and risk registers.

· Management of project deliverables, ensuring they follow due process for approval and lodging in the project's document repository.

· Provide appropriate tools and expertise to support processes and project delivery and to undertake the set-up and to train team members in use of specific project management / planning tools as required.

· Participates in Lessons Learned and the continuous improvement of project management standards and processes.

· Provides continual feedback into PMO processes

Experience:
The successful candidate must have:

· Experience of working in a project management office, with lead responsibility for the operation of key project management processes.

· Knowledge and experience of industry standard or BP specific project management methods (eg PMI's PMBOK or PRINCE 2).

· Excellent knowledge and experience of planning and scheduling, gained in a project environment.

· Excellent first hand experience of Microsoft Project, likely to have been gained over 2+ years of intensive usage.

· A good understanding of project lifecycles and project management methods.

· Experience of management reporting, ideally on project delivery status.

· The resilience and flexibility needed to succeed in a demanding and challenging project environment, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.

· Influencing skills needed to challenge unrealistic planning and resource projections.

· An ability to work on his / her own initiative, and to take the lead in driving planning activity across the project.

· Working knowledge of Earned Value Analysis concepts.

· Microsoft Excel – Skilful application

· Microsoft PowerPoint – Skilful application

It is desired that the successful candidate have:

· Working knowledge of at least Level 2 Capability Maturity Model for software (ie. CMM/CMMi).

· Knowledge and experience of other project management processes (eg risk, issue and assumptions management, change control and project reporting) would be advantageous.

· Knowledge or familiarity of deployment projects for ERP systems (especially SAP, and SAP Business Warehouse), would be an advantage.

· A good working knowledge of Rational ClearQuest

· A good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Sharepoint Services

· Knowledge and familiarity with document versioning and quality assurance.

Certifications:
A recognised qualification in Project Management, eg PRINCE 2 or PMP is desirable
